Amber Does Houston

That title would mean more if we were in Dallas. I'm at Bob's aunt's house. It's really nice. When Bob's aunt and Terry picked us up from the airport, we walked by a farrari and Terry said, "Sorry kids, that's not ours." Then we got in the Jaguar that was parked next to it. I guess the Jag will do for now. Anyway, a nice little fact for you before I go shopping. Earwigs are to home, like lizards are to Houston. Yeah that's right Bob's aunt caught a couple of lizards in the house last week. They're not dangerous, but still, How cool is that?

HA

Sometimes I catch myself saying the stupidest things, it's usually when I'm not paying attention to a question and the reply that I unconsciously come up with that really makes me laugh. Here is an example:

I was reading a post by Rob Walker and it had to do with his appreciation for the English language. I also love the language, and French too. Literature is great. Anyhow, it was a post dated August 15, I believe. While I was sucked into the words on the page Bob asks, "What are you reading?"

My ever brilliant reply was, "It doesn't matter, he's just a really good writer." And then I started laughing. I can be such a moron. I don't even know what the hell the post was about now. I've really got to work on this paying attention thing. It's really hard when you just sit back and appreciate the nicely crafted sentences and then afterword, not know what the hell you've just read. It's something I should consider working on before school starts. Damn, that's why I've been failing. Oh well, better to learn entering my second and a half-year instead of my fourth, or not at all.

I'm going to Texas!

Hi everyone! I'm going to Texas. Isn't that cool? I'm very excited because I've never been on an airplane before and Bob and I are going to be flying on Monday. We're going to be in Toronto for four hours and some friends of mine that work for Sprint Canada are going to take me and Bob out for dinner. Then it's Texas time which is going to be full of wonderful events, I'm sure. Everything's big in Texas. Some future events include, white water rafting and attending the season operner football game at Texas University. I love the Longhorns!! (I actually don't know anything about colledge football besides the story of Rudy who played for Notre Dame). Anyway, y'all have a good week and I'll see you when I get back.
